Dr. Vu Thi Nga chose to become a doctor with a deep desire to support people through their most challenging times. Drawn to the operating room during her medical training, she pursued a career in surgery for its hands-on nature, fast-paced decision-making, and the satisfaction of seeing immediate, tangible results.
She graduated from Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2021, where her passion for surgery grew during clinical rotations. The teamwork and intensity of the operating room left a lasting impression on her.
Before joining Raffles Medical, Dr. Nga worked at a general hospital in northern Vietnam. There, she managed various emergency and trauma cases, gaining experience in high-pressure situations and developing her ability to stay calm and make critical decisions quickly. Her dedication to general surgery stems from its practicality and life-saving impact. She is committed to improving patient outcomes, refining her clinical skills, and continuously expanding her medical knowledge—even beyond her specialty.
One of her most memorable experiences was treating a young man who suffered a serious knee injury in a traffic accident. After his recovery, he returned to personally thank the entire surgical team—an emotional moment that reaffirmed her calling.
At Raffles Medical, Dr. Nga aims to grow into a well-rounded, skilled surgeon, contribute to the team’s success, and help nurture the next generation of healthcare professionals.
