Dr. Tran Tuyet Hau’s journey into medicine began with a deeply personal motivation — witnessing her beloved grandfather’s illness as a child inspired her lifelong desire to become a doctor and help others in need.
She earned her Medical Doctor degree from Hanoi Medical University and continued her education with a Specialist Level I degree in Internal Medicine. Throughout her clinical training, she had the opportunity to study and practice at some of the top-tier hospitals in Vietnam, where she cared for patients with a wide variety of medical conditions. These experiences gave her a deep empathy for patients and their families, and further fueled her admiration for the dedication and professionalism of the doctors around her.
Prior to joining Raffles Medical Hanoi, Dr. Hau worked in both public healthcare facilities and international private clinics. This experience allowed her to care for both Vietnamese and foreign patients, sharpening her communication skills and adaptability in multicultural settings.
Her professional interests lie in primary care and internal medicine, with a strong focus on preventive health and patient education — areas she believes are essential in the evolving landscape of modern healthcare.
Dr. Hau is especially touched when former patients return to express their gratitude, sometimes through heartfelt letters or poems. These moments reaffirm her passion for medicine and her commitment to building genuine connections with the people she cares for.
Working in an international environment, Dr. Hau looks forward to learning from colleagues from around the world. She is also passionate about supporting expatriates living and working in Vietnam, as well as Vietnamese individuals preparing to study or live abroad.
