Breast cancer is currently the most common cancer among Vietnamese women. <\/span>Rates of women with breast cancer have increased rapidly in recent years in Vietnam, with over 10,000 new patients contracting the disease every year.\u202f<\/span>While this statistic is daunting, early detection increases the chance of survival of breast cancer and leads to better patient outcomes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u202f<\/span>ch\u1ee5p nh\u0169 \u1ea3nh<\/span>\u202fis the most reliable screening tool available today for breast cancer, with the ability to detect presence of cancerous lumps even before you are able to feel them by hand. What is the mammogram and what are some key things you should know about this screening test?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Breast cancer is cancer that starts in the breast tissue. There are five stages of breast cancer \u2013 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4. For the earlier stages (0 and 1) of breast cancer, early detection and treatment can result in survival rates over 90 percent. Early stages of breast cancer often have no symptoms at all, which is why a\u202fmammogram\u202fis critical to detecting early stage breast cancer. Mammograms can detect cancerous lumps in the breast even without any visible symptoms or lumps.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
